I have been bummed that I couldn't do any events for the 24th of July (July 24th is actually the final night of the Mrs. United States Competition), since it is a special day for Utah. Luckily I got to do the Days of '47 Children's Parade since it was the Saturday before I left.
We had water, treats and a jogging stroller. What more could you ask for?
Palmer was such a trooper. He walked the whole parade with me.
Here I am teaching all of the kids how to wave :) This sweet little girl came up and held my hand. I didn't know who she was, but she held my had for a while.
Here we are waving to the masses. Palmer was so cute!
Afterward there was a festival that was so fun! They had characters from Star Wars walking around. This is Lincoln's favorite movie (he isn't allowed to watch it anymore because he kept wacking people with "light sabers"). Lincoln wasn't even afraid of this guy. He kept giving him five and smiling the whole time.
When I walked up to Darth Vader he said "Hello your highness!" It threw me. The other characters couldn't talk and he sounded real! Josh actually got my reaction on camera.
As opposed to the Storm Trooper, Vader wasn't such a hit. He was WAY tall and the kids were a little freaked out by him (to tell the truth, so was I!)
Just one of the many rides that they had at this festival. The kids had a great time!

Looks like fun Em. Good luck with everything!
My kids would never stand that close to anyone in costume! :) Count yourself lucky!
Good luck in Las Vegas, by the way!
